Saint Leopold, Margrave of Austria

Saint Leopold was the Margrave of Austria from the House of Babenberg. He ruled during the late 11th and early 12th centuries and is remembered for his piety and just governance. Leopold was known for founding several monasteries and supporting the Church. He is venerated as the patron saint of Austria.
