St. Agnes of Assisi, St. Clare' s sister, Virgin
St. Agnes of Assisi (c. 1197 - c. 1253) was the younger sister of St. Clare of Assisi. Born in Assisi, Italy, she joined her sister in founding the Order of Poor Ladies, later known as the Order of Saint Clare. Agnes lived a life of devotion, prayer, and service, and was known for her piety and humility.
