St. Daniel, prophet
St. Daniel was a Hebrew prophet who lived in the 6th century BC during the Babylonian exile. He was known for his interpretations of dreams and visions, as well as his unwavering faith in God. Daniel was taken to Babylon as a young man and rose to become a high-ranking official in the Babylonian and Persian courts. He is revered for his courage in refusing to worship false idols and for his prophetic abilities, which included foretelling the rise and fall of kingdoms. St. Daniel is the patron saint of students, judges, and those accused of false crimes.
