Saint Daniel, martyr of Persia, was one of a group of Christian martyrs who suffered under King Shapur II in the fourth century. Alongside several companions, he was persecuted for refusing to renounce his Christian faith. Their steadfastness inspired the faithful enduring hardships. His feast day is celebrated on February 16. He is remembered for his courage and fidelity in the face of tribulation.
