Saint Julian, the Hospitaller, was a Christian layman venerated for his charity and hospitality to strangers, travelers, and the poor. According to legend, after unintentionally killing his parents, he devoted his life to penance and established a hostel for pilgrims. He is renowned for his kindness to the needy and is often invoked as the patron saint of innkeepers and travelers.
