Saint Marian, martyr of Lambesa
Saint Marian was a lector from Lambesa, in present-day Algeria, who was martyred during the persecution under Emperor Valerian around 259 AD. He was arrested alongside Saint James for their Christian faith and both endured harsh tortures for refusing to renounce Christ. Marian remained steadfast despite his physical suffering, courageously professing his love for God to the end. His unwavering faith inspired many in the early Church, and his memory is honored on May 30.
