Saint Christina, virgin and martyr of Bolsena
Saint Christina, virgin and martyr of Bolsena, was a young girl of noble birth who lived in the 3rd or 4th century in Bolsena, Italy. According to tradition, she embraced Christianity against the wishes of her pagan father. She endured horrific tortures for her faith, including being thrown into a lake with a stone tied to her neck, yet miraculously survived many trials. Eventually, she was martyred for her steadfast witness to Christ.
