Saint Henry

St. Henry II, also known as Henry the Holy, was the Holy Roman Emperor from 1014 to 1024. Born in 972 in Bavaria, Germany, he was the son of Henry II, Duke of Bavaria, and Gisela of Burgundy. As emperor, Henry II was known for his piety and devotion to the Catholic Church. He founded numerous churches and monasteries, and actively promoted religious reform. He is venerated as a saint for his unwavering faith, charitable works, and efforts to strengthen the relationship between the Church and the Holy Roman Empire. St. Henry II is the patron saint of the Holy Roman Empire, childless people, and Dukes of Bavaria.
