Saint Bernarda, foundress of the Franciscan Sisters of Mary Help of Christians

Saint Bernarda Bütler was born in Switzerland in 1848 and became a dedicated Franciscan sister. She went to Ecuador as a missionary, where she founded the Franciscan Sisters of Mary Help of Christians. Her life was marked by charity, humility, and deep trust in God. Saint Bernarda worked tirelessly for the poor and sick and was canonized in 2008.
