Saint Teresa of Jesus, foundress of the Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly
Saint Teresa of Jesus Jornet Ibars was a Spanish nun and the founder of the Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly. Born in 1843 in Catalonia, she dedicated her life to serving elderly people abandoned or without family. Her deep compassion and practical charity became a model of Christian love and social concern. Canonized in 1974, she is revered for her humility, kindness, and tireless work for the most vulnerable.
