St Zephirin, Pope
St. Zephirin was the 14th Pope of the Catholic Church, serving from around 199 to 217 AD. He was born in Rome and is believed to have been a Roman by birth. As pope, he defended the divinity of Christ and the doctrine of the Holy Trinity against heretical teachings. He is also credited with establishing the practice of observing Easter on the first Sunday after the full moon following the vernal equinox. St. Zephirin is venerated for his steadfast leadership and defense of Catholic doctrine during a challenging time in the early Church. He is the patron saint of popes and the Diocese of Langres, France.
