Aristides of Athens
Saint Aristides of Athens was a 2nd-century Christian philosopher and apologist. He is best known for presenting an apology for Christianity to the Roman Emperor Hadrian around 124 AD. Aristides explained the faith's principles and defended Christians against persecution. His writings are some of the earliest surviving Christian apologetic works. He is honored for his wisdom and courage in proclaiming the Gospel.
