Cyprian
Saint Cyprian was a bishop of Carthage in the 3rd century and one of the most important early Christian writers of Latin literature. He converted to Christianity as an adult and became renowned for his piety, wisdom, and leadership during times of persecution. As bishop, he guided the faithful through the Decian persecution and controversies over the reconciliation of repentant apostates. He was martyred in 258 AD for refusing to renounce his faith. Saint Cyprian is venerated as a model of courage and fidelity.
