Saint Emilie, foundress of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Villefranche
Saint Emilie de Rodat was born in 1787 in France during a tumultuous period for the Church. Driven by a deep love for the poor and marginalized, she founded the Sisters of the Holy Family of Villefranche to provide education and care for girls and the needy. Despite severe personal suffering and opposition, she remained steadfast in her mission of charity. She died in 1852 and was canonized in 1950 for her holiness and total dedication to God.
