Andrew Kim Taegon
Saints Andrew Kim Taegon, Paul Chong Hasang, and Companions were a group of Korean Catholics martyred in the 19th century. Andrew Kim Taegon was the first native-born priest of Korea, while Paul Chong Hasang was a lay apostle and prominent leader. They, along with 103 other Koreans, were executed for their faith during the persecution of Catholics in Korea. The Korean Martyrs are venerated for their courageous witness to the Gospel, even unto death.
