Eustace
Saint Eustace was a Christian martyr venerated as the patron saint of hunters and firefighters. According to legend, he was a Roman general named Placidus who converted to Christianity after a miraculous vision of a crucifix between a stag’s antlers during a hunt. He and his family suffered many hardships for their faith, ultimately being martyred around the early 2nd century. His story, though largely legendary, has inspired devotion throughout the centuries.
