Sts. Crispin and Crispinian,Martyrs
Saints Crispin and Crispinian were brothers who lived in the 3rd century AD. They were noble Romans who chose to become Christian missionaries and moved to Soissons, France. They worked as shoemakers by day and preached the gospel by night. The Roman emperor Maximian ordered their execution for their faith, and they were martyred around 285 AD. Crispin and Crispinian are the patron saints of cobblers, leather workers, and justice. They are venerated for their commitment to their faith and for continuing their ministry even in the face of persecution.
