Saint Beatrix, martyr of Rome

Saint Beatrix, martyr of Rome

Saint Beatrix, martyr of Rome, was a Christian woman who lived in the 4th century during the persecutions under Emperor Diocletian. She was the sister of Saints Faustinus and Simplicius, who were also martyred for their faith. Beatrix was arrested for assisting Christians and resolutely refused to renounce her faith. She was eventually executed by strangulation and her body was secretly buried by friends. She is venerated as a courageous witness to Christ.
