Saint Christian (Krystian) was a missionary bishop and martyr, known for his evangelizing work in Prussia during the 13th century. He was a Cistercian monk and became the first bishop of Prussia, working to convert the region to Christianity. Despite efforts, he faced fierce resistance and hardship amid pagan opposition. He is venerated as a martyr for the faith. His memory is especially honored in Poland and among Cistercians.
