Saint Eulalia, martyr of Mérida
Saint Eulalia, martyr of Mérida, was a young Christian girl who was martyred during the Diocletian persecution in Spain around 304 AD. Refusing to renounce her faith or offer sacrifice to pagan gods, she bravely endured torture and met her death by fire. Her steadfast faith inspired many early Christians. She is honored as a patron saint of Mérida and venerated throughout Spain and beyond.
