St. Agatone, Pope
St. Agatone was the Pope of the Catholic Church from 678 to 681 AD. He was born in Palermo, Sicily and was known for his piety, wisdom, and diplomacy. During his papacy, he convened the Third Council of Constantinople, which condemned the Monothelite heresy. Agatone also played a crucial role in resolving disputes between the Eastern and Western Churches. He is venerated as a saint for his leadership and his commitment to unity within the Church.
