Saint Isabel, princess of France
Saint Isabel, princess of France, was born in 1225 as the sister of King Louis IX. She devoted her life to God, choosing to remain unmarried so that she could dedicate herself to charitable works. She founded the Franciscan monastery of Longchamp and lived a life of prayer and simplicity. Isabel is venerated for her humility, piety, and commitment to the poor.
